UBM India continued to witness a full house through on Day 2 of it’s hugely popular B2B jewellery show – Delhi Jewellery & Gem Fair 2013, despite of it being a Sunday. The first day of the show held on the 21st of September, saw more than 1000 industry professionals visiting the exhibition. DGJF’13 is steadily strengthening is position as an event that provides an ideal platform for trader community in the jewellery business to connect and do business. The first day ended with a glamorous Fashion Show that showcased exclusive jewellery collection from companies like HVK Jewells, Naulakha Jewellers, Haryana Jewellers, Bhindi Jewellers, ND Diamonds, S Rasiklal, Laxmi Diamond, Harisons Diamonds to name a few

Apart from providing a networking platform for business opportunities in Northern India, DJGF is also focusing on other regions of the country like Mumbai, Chennai, Hyderabad, Kolkata and Gujarat. This year a special section has been dedicated to the machinery and allied industry addressing the needs of every segment. A good number of Manufacturers, Importers, Exporters, Wholesalers, Agents and Retailers were in attendance to update themselves on the latest designs and trends in the market.

The DJGF’13 saw its grand inauguration on the 21st September, by Mr. Ram Avtar Verma, President, The Bullion & Jewellers Association; Mr. Yogesh Singhal, General Sec., The Bullion & Jewellers Association; Mr. Satish Chand Jain, President, Delhi Jewellers Association; Mr. Vijay Khanna, President, Karol Bagh Jewellers Association, Mr. Gurjeet Singh, Uttarakhand Jewellers Association; Mr. Sarvesh Kumar Jain, General Sec.,  Meerat Govt. Association; Mr. Pawan Gupta, PP Jewellers; Mr. Ramesh Narang,  Hazoorilal; Mr. Subhash Bhola, Bholasons and Mr. Billu Jain, President, Sarafa Association, Guru Bazaar, Amritsar

One of the most influential jewellers in the Delhi region, Mr. Ashutosh Sharma, Managing Director of Shreem Jewellers, who visited the fair said, “It is great to be associated with DJGF and it’s a pleasure to see such great networking platforms for manufacturers and retailers. We would look forward to this show growing in the coming years with greater numbers in terms of footfalls from the trade, as well as from the consumers.”

Leading Jewellers from the region like Harayana, Amritsar and Lucknow used this opportunity to showcase their finest designs and craftsmanship with launches in the Natts and uncut diamonds. Exhibitors like DP Designs and LKS showcased their new collection like Fusion Jewellery and Royal Rajwada Collection designed exclusively for the premium segment market. Key participants who exhibited at the show Emrald, Sheetal Group, Krishna Export, Derawala, etc and leading retail buyers were PP Jewellers, PC Jewellers, Kashi, Kays, Bholasons, Motiwala & Sons and many more.

Key highlights at this year’s exhibition include a 700 diamond studded Pen from HK Gems worth INR. 15 lakhs and a Gold plated window series Peacock made out of 100% Gold foil at 24krtz.

Better quality production facilities and machinery will ensure that this segment also will come up to global standards. The Delhi Jewellery & Gem Fair 2013 has seen a tremendous response from visitors on the first two days across cities of North India like Meerut, Gurgaon, Ghaziabad, Faridabad, Amritsar, Chandigarh, Noida, Lucknow and Jaipur to name a few. DJGF 2013, while providing the right platform for companies to showcase their luxury products, will also be a very informative event with series of special events like Seminars, Educational Workshops, Panel Discussions and Fashion Shows. Looking at the positive response from the Gem & Jewellery industry, DJGF will cross its 8000 mark of visitors from the Northern Region.
