SUFCSouth United Football Club will be sponsoring the Under 19 DDPU – organised Football Tournament for Boys and Girls, where close to 40 teams from across the city will be participating. The Club intends to continue encouraging local talent and providing a platform for young footballers to prove themselves; this tournament being a significant step!

The matches will be hosted at the RBANMS Football Ground in Bangalore, from the 27th of September onwards. Noteworthy performances will be recognized by the Club through a Trophy for each winning Boys and Girls Team, as well as with certificates and medals for the best Goalkeepers and Players of the Tournament.

Speaking about the tournament, Mr. Sharan Parikh, Director of South United Football Club, said, “We believe that Bangalore is full of footballers with huge potential. We have brought players as young as sixteen years into our first team, and hope we might find a few here that could even make it to our starting squad!”

The Club will also be sending scouts for this tournament, where the top players from both the Boys’ and Girls’ Teams will be given a chance to train with the South United FC Coaches.

“This is, however, just one of the initiatives South United has been working on to promote football in the country.”, continued Mr. Parikh. “We will continue to contribute to Football in whatever way possible, and remain invested in Grassroots Development”.
