Commenting on the GST CSxu0oSfZouncil decision to lower tax rates, Mr. Ameve Sharma, Director and President, Shree Baidyanath Ayurveda Bhawan Pvt. Ltd., said “At it has been our constant endeavor to push roots of Ayurveda to mainstream, in terms of product as well as knowledge of Ayurveda. The recent GST Councils decision to lower tax rates will thus provide the needed impetus to expand market for Ayurveda in India. While the GST for classic medicines have gone down to 5%, for regular Ayurveda products it remains at 12%. This will help traditional Ayurveda, which is what we’re trying to propagate at”
